Crossroads Farmers Market

Since 2013, Shannon has supported (and been supported by) the Crossroads Community Food Network in Takoma Park, MD. Shannon grew up in a rural agricultural area, and the causes of food insecurity, nutrition education and the farm-to-table movement are near and dear to her. Her involvement with Crossroads began as a customer at the Farmer’s Market and grew to “community ambassador” (a volunteer outreach role). Over the years she has been commissioned to apply her artistic skills to everything from chalkboard a-frame signs to online classes to face painting!
